Designed to be a flexible, modular, extensible platform technology, the COSMIIC System can be configured using either existing modules or new modules to support unique research requirements – without disturbing existing components. The fundamental architecture, both software and hardware, has proven to be robust as new devices (and research) are brought online. The core technical pieces are based on an open architecture endorsed by various standards organizations.
